  2. Good morning, Angelina
Were you outraged when you read this article? When I was a child, it was common place that my father carried a six-pack in our car. Many times he drove home after drinking but I think there were less people on the roads in those days (1950-1960s). We also lived in the 'sticks'.
If he went in the ditch, he walked home and pulled his car out the next morning with a tractor. I don't remember him ever hitting anyone. I recall being in a car with him driving after drinking when another car appeared on the road and my dad pulled over and waited for the approaching car to pass us. We had the road to ourselves the rest of the way home. Gone are those days and a new standard is what we live by now for the safety of us all. Take care and have a great day!

  3. It is really intersting to know that drinking and driving used to be considered "normal behavior." The difference between today and then is that people don't want to admit that they are drunk. Im glad to hear that your dad had the decensey to pull over when approaching other cars. Driving drunk in the middle of the country could really only hurt the people in the car, however, there are way to many people in the metro to risk the lives of just to save some money on a cab. I hope you have a great day as well!:)

  4. Wow, she had over twice the legal limit. I have no idea what people are thinking when they get behind the wheel knowing they had more than just "a little to drink". It seems like every week there is a story or two about a drunk driver. It's sad that someone lost yet another life to drunk driving.
